            PHYSICS PROBLEM SOLVING

Windows Interactive Software Version 2020 ©

Welcome to our Physics Problem Solving site, the heart of our website. We have designed nine outstanding interactive products for Windows. They incorporate 1,860 original problems of excellent quality, which can do a great job in helping students become more efficient problem solvers in the areas of kinematics, dynamics, electricity and magnetism, and optics, and for students to succeed in the AP Physics 1 and 2 exams. Each module includes a tutorial, two study guides, six different test generators, and the detailed step-by-step solution of every problem. We firmly believe that those students that master the problems incorporated in Modules 26 and 27 will gain sufficient experience to incline the balance in their favor to pass the AP Physics 1 and 2 exams. Every module was created by a state certified physics teacher with 26 years of experience teaching all levels of physics in the classroom.

Isaac Newton picture We are happy to announce two new product for the year 2021. The first is Module 25: Class Projects for AP Physics 1 Students. This module includes 10 carefully selected projects and 22 activities. One of the projects, for instance, titled The Bouncing Ball, is similar to one magnificent AP Physics problem given some years ago by the College Board. But we go deeper. The solution of this project is academically challenging since it requires at least 3 hours of intense work and the application of principles in kinematics, projectile motion, conservation of momentum, and conservation of energy in order to complete it. There are four great things about this educational product. One is that the completion of each project is totally explained by solving one problem in minute detail. Two, the teacher can give a different problem to dozens of students, and the computer will generate all the answer keys in just one minute or so. Three, the 10 projects cover all the topics in mechanics, from kinematics to simple harmonic motion. And four, the students will greatly enjoy working in the different projects. The second new product for the year 2021 is Module 22: Optics Graphical Tutorial. This product incorporates six interactive tutorials with beautidul graphics and one outstanding problem solving tutorial concentrated in the Optics Equation. If you want your students to master optics quickly and efficiently, then module 22 is for you.

Besides the Windows Interactive products mentioned above, we are also promoting another version of every module in high quality mp4 video format, which can be used in PC and Mac computers, in many digital televisions with a USB port, and in DVD players. All 1,860 problems and their step-step-by-step solutions can be viewed and studied by an entire class and individually, in tutor and testing modes, in two different types of videos. Most modules include ten video exams with tutorials of great quality. Your students will like them. There are many excellent electronic viewers available to watch the mp4 video files. We recommend the VLC Media Player. The link to download the VLC Media Player is found below (Useful Link # 22).                  Title for Module 25
The Bouncing Ball Project Academic Level: AP Physics 1

    • Requirements: A Windows PC computer XP or newer with a USB port
    • Product # PHY025-Windows-Interactive, $150.00 (Includes the Shipping)
    • This product is delivered in a 16 GB USB Jump Drive
    • Number of Class Projects = 10
    • Number of Activities = 22
    • List of Class Projects in AP Physics 1:

    • Addition of Vectors - A Trip to Several Cities
    • Projectile Motion
    • The Oscillating Pendulum
    • The Bouncing Ball
    • The Block on the Sphere
    • Addition of Vectors
    • Rotation in a Vertical Plane
    • Rotation in a Horizontal Plane
    • The Vertical Spring
    • The Inclined Plane and the Spring
    • Gravitation - The Solar System

Module 25 can help students succeed in the AP Physics 1 exam. It is an excellent tool AP Physics teachers can use to complement the work done learning theory, solving multiple choice and essay problems, and performing lab experiments. During the completion of the different projects, the students will be surprised to see how complex and amazing is the physical world. For instance, just to understand the motion of a simple ball bouncing several times on an inclined plane, or a ball rotating in a vertical plane, which are two superb and challenging projects in Module 25, they require the application of many principles in Newtonian’s physics and algebra. After the students succeed in understanding and completing those projects, they will feel motivated and quite proud of what what they were able to achieve.

    Rotation in a vertical plane

The completion of each project requires an average of three hours of diligent and precise work, and the application of concepts in multiple areas. For instance, the Inclined Plane and the Spring project involves concepts in kinematics, dynamics, energy, and springs. A useful feature many teachers will appreciate is that in several activities, just by entering true or fictitious ID numbers for the students in the Physics AP class, the computer will generate unique data for each student to use. In addition, the solutions may be printed on the screen or sent to a text file for the teacher to open and print. A nice feature is that the teacher can get all the answer keys for each project in just a few minutes.
